Many health facilities in Ghana — especially primary health centres and CHPS compounds in rural areas — lack reliable electricity, which prevents vaccine cold-chain storage, nighttime delivery of care, operation of basic diagnostic equipment, and safe data management. Nationwide studies and recent analyses show dozens of facilities lack reliable power; targeting one clinic for a pilot delivers immediate health and social benefits while proving the commercial model for scale.
What we built (SolarEdge Pod)
The SolarEdge Pod is a containerized, plug-and-play solar + battery + hybrid inverter unit with integrated IoT telemetry. Key features:
• High-efficiency PV array + lithium battery storage sized for 24/7 operation;
• Hybrid inverter and smart energy management (automatic load control & islanding);
• Edge IoT telemetry and cloud dashboard for remote monitoring and predictive maintenance;
• Modular design so Pods can be clustered to serve larger facilities, microgrids, or small industrial loads.
It’s built for health clinics, schools, SMEs and homes — a single unit can run refrigeration, lighting, sample refrigeration (vaccine / meds), small diagnostic devices and basic ICT. The Pod is relocatable and designed for quick deployment and local servicing.
Why use donations (social-impact pilot)
Although Energize Analytics will sell Pods commercially, this campaign funds the first Pod as a social-impact pilot for a clinic in Northern Ghana. Demonstrating the system in a real clinic will: validate technical performance in local conditions; generate operational data (uptime, kWh supplied, diesel displacement) that unlocks customers and investors; and immediately improve healthcare delivery.
Proposed beneficiary (pilot)
Savelugu Health Centre (Savelugu Municipality, Northern Region) — chosen because it is a primary healthcare facility serving a rural catchment area in the Northern Region and represents the type of facility that frequently faces unreliable electricity. We will confirm and formalize the site with the Ghana Health Service and local assembly/municipal authorities before construction.
How funds will be used (target: $43,300)
• $15,000 — PV modules, inverter, battery pack (container BESS)
• $8,000 — Container conversion & electrical integration
• $5,000 — IoT telemetry, dashboard & SIM/data costs
• $7,000 — Transport, on-site installation and commissioning
• $8,300 — Training (clinic staff & local technicians), tools, contingency
Environmental & financial impact (pilot estimate)
• A Pod sized for a small clinic is expected to deliver ~13,000 kWh/year (design dependent). Replacing routine diesel generator usage avoids thousands of liters of diesel and reduces CO₂ emissions significantly. The Pod also cuts operating costs (diesel & maintenance), increasing funds available to patient care and services. (Method and evidence summarized in the Impact section.) (Walt Power)
Transparency & updates
All donors will receive quarterly project updates, a downloadable deployment report (energy generation, diesel savings, uptime), photos and a final impact video. Major donors will be invited to a virtual commission event.
Our credibility
Energize Analytics Africa is a Ghanaian digital energy & analytics company that has built the SolarEdge Pod design and validated it with system simulations and engineering modelling. Since 2024 we have funded R&D out of founder capital and income from our consulting services (data analytics, PVsyst modelling and system design). This campaign unlocks the real-world validation we need to scale.
How you can help
Donate, share this campaign with your network, and introduce corporate or philanthropic partners who are aligned with energy access or healthcare.
Thank you — together we’ll power safer care, brighter classrooms and stronger small businesses in Ghana.
